Bob Booth, President CPU 675
There have been a lot of rumors flying around, concerning 12 Hour Shifts. We regularly receive calls at the Hall asking about, or reporting rumors of, the status of 12 Hour Shifts. Some people even seem to be under the impression that the Union is, somehow, responsible for discouraging 12 Hour discussions. I'm sure everyone will recall that it was the Company, not the Union, who terminated the trial period. The Union has informed the company that we would like to have discussions that will provide the Union with a full understanding of the conditions that led the Company to terminate the trial period, as well as engage in discussions that may provide our members an opportunity to decide if they want to try 12 Hour Shifts, again. The ball is in the Company's court. If you have any questions, Human Resources may be the best place to seek answers. |
